I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! Where were you able to get your pair?

Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!

I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus

How much do they go for?

I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.

Are they true to size?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up

Is the comfort worth it?

They only needed minimal break-in time..

How do they perform over time?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Stunning.

Are they worth it?

Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also look great.

How is the fit?

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair. Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.

Are they comfortable?

They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.

Do they hold up well?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched.

Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
